Myers Electric was founded in 1983 by Jim Myers. He was a man of great character and integrity, with a great love for people that could be seen daily in every interaction he had. Jim cared deeply for every person he worked with and for, often going way out of his way to make sure every detail in a project was meticulously cared for; ensuring his customers complete peace of mind and satisfaction. He was incredibly intelligent, and thrived most when solving complex problems, or overcoming challenges. He could often be heard encouraging our team; that if there was a problem, we needed to solve it by thinking creatively and outside of the box.

Jim began Myers Electric as a one-man operation, and slowly grew the company to becoming a very specialized group of hand-picked journeymen who all shared the same heart and passion for excellence that he did. Being very hands on when it came to every project, he made sure that everything was done top notch. “Perfect, or better” was a phrase he would repeat to our team in a humorous way, encouraging us to remember the high expectations he looked for in our work. Jim left quite a legacy to follow.

In 2012, Jim passed the baton to Kevin Kent to carry Myers Electric & Automation Inc. forward into the future. A long-time team member with the company, Kevin worked closely with Jim for many years; the two sharing a close relationship both on and off the job site. Kevin’s heart is much the same as Jim’s; to serve people well. The values that Jim ingrained into every fiber of our company are the same today as they were in the beginning. The culture of our company is built upon their foundation, and they are the core of all that we do today. Our team strives daily to carry the same heart, dedication, passion, integrity and excellence into every relationship and project we take on.
